Oakland careers churn out emotionless personal dispositions

At the celebration of their wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Jones called me for supper to make celebrations. I don’t know why but this supper would be a memorable one to me. It was an indifferent dinner anyone would take with his neighbor. Home made grub, extra- clean house and a happy family, a family comprising of three sons. Yes, three sons whose versatile careers made me go out of the ordinary. The very moment I seated myself at the dining table, I looked at them and gave them a smile, but to my surprise, none of them reacted. This strangely made me feel as if I am sitting in front of three of the world’s most boring people. Just after that, Mr. Jones introduced me to his three sons, I was further puzzled. Now the thing that I am still unable to understand is that, the moment he told me about their careers, my mind hassled up with an idea, completely motivated by those stiff gestures of three, that were totally bizarre. His first son, was one of the Oakland Plumbers ! To me it seemed as if his work was not to repair seeping taps but to collate and fix the tides of stupid thoughts jutting out of the mind, similar to the molecules of H2O, I mean the molecules of water and put them back into the head so that they don’t flow like liquid. His second son, an Oakland Electricians , seemed so still and expressionless that it gave me a feeling as if he is the criminal who has damaged the wiring of minds of his two brothers with his different tools such as conduit benders, pliers, wire strippers, drills, ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes. An image formed in my mind the way he must have opened brain, wired it and then plugged it back. Whoa! Then comes the last but not least, his youngest son, one of those famous Oakland Roofers who show brilliance of work through their work. But then I thought, how could this expressionless robot make those eye catchy art works on top of the roof. To me it seemed as if he could only fix the roof of brains and make them quiet to the emotions and all, like his. Possibly, it’s the emotion that makes the machine being titled as HUMANS….
